Hansa Provides Update on Zhumba Property

Vancouver, Canada -- Hansa Resources Ltd. ("Hansa" or the "Company") (TSXv-HRL; Frankfurt-3F2) Mr. John Nugent, President, reports that the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies ("MINT") of the Republic of Kazakhstan has extended to July 1, 2014, the term for concluding a joint venture agreement with SPK YERTIS, a government joint stock company, and entering into the subsoil use contract for the Zhumba property.

In addition, the Central Commission for Subsoil Use and Exploration under MINT has considered the prospecting works plan for Zhumba and recommended it for approval by the Committee of Geology of MINT.

Achieving these two milestones is a significant development for the Company.

SPK YERTIS has sent the prospecting works plan for Zhumba to the Committee of Geology of MINT for approval.

Dealings with the Kazakhstan government ministries and other government entities have been difficult and, therefore, there can be no assurance of a successful conclusion.
